… when faced with the dilemma of whether or not to procrastinate preparing for that one o`clock meeting or actually doing it? write a blog of course!

Nah, I’m actually ready to go, just need to type up one paper so we have some sort of agenda. I really ponder why I enjoy leading these meetings or why I decided to take on managing this project. I honestly think by the end of it I will want to hang myself. Oh well… we’ll see. I really enjoy the development process of new products surrounding our technology… it’s entertaining.

Oddly… that feeling of impending doom that still lingers around today. It’s just been this nagging thing in the back of my mind that something crappy is bound to happen sooner than later. It’s frustrating. Maybe stuff has just felt too good for too long and I’m expecting something to screw it up. *shrug* who knows… it’s irritating and has me “looking over my shoulder” more than it should.

Anyway… got some decent sleep last night, sort of. I think most of it was due to the fact I was completely wiped out from almost zero sleep the night before and I went to work out last night. I thought at one point I was going to collapse from being so tired. Sharon wasn’t doing to well herself while we were working out last night, she wasn’t feeling well. Hopefully she’s not getting sick … that would suck, especially if I caught it. o.O

Tonight… hmmm — I really have no clue what’s going on. Maybe I need to plan that out. I think if I don’t see anyone tonight I’ll end up finishing up that hood I’m working on. It’s something constructive to do to pass the time and it’s productive. I need to get that thing done in the next month so I can get it on my car and keep my turbo cooler with the temperatures rising. I dunno… heh. I think I’ll just play today by ear. I’m in that kind of mood.

Well, I guess I should type up that sheet and go for my walk. As soon as I clear that meeting I think I’m bailing out for the day. yay! 🙂

One hour into work and I’m done with my list of things I wanted to get done for the day. I really need to stop being this productive or quick on completing tasks.

Taking a look at my project board, everything that is queued up on there is waiting on something from someone else here. *taps fingers on desk* how frustrating. *shrug* One would think my tasks lists are just simple but here’s what I’m working on today:

• Wait on someone to make code changes so I can run compiles and watch it break over and over again and say ‘ nope, still not right ‘ (in progress)
• Update the project plan for our new projects opening up – includes project items and time-frames for planning meetings (done)
• Plan out the week for updates, fixes/patches, etc on systems around the network and assign duties for other minor things. (done)
• Write up a status report (done)
• Recheck compile and release documentation (done)

 I love my job, I really do. There are plenty of times there are challenges to face and conquer but sometimes… it’s downright dead. Of course once this new project we’re starting kicks off in May I probably will be complaining I have too much to do and manage. LOL  

So… yeah. *scratches head* oh… also, did I mention it’s lonely in here? LOL We have three people here right now in this office. Everyone else is either on vacation, out of town or otherwise cutting work. wtf!? At least I have people to slack off with across the hall in the other offices. lol But on the management side of things, everyone is MIA. I may escape today… *crosses fingers* we’ll see. Depends on how long it takes Rick to find out why this piece of code that can’t be figured out won’t compile correctly. It’s a mystery to all and the complaint from the compiler is right there. Probably something simple and stupid that is so far under our noses we can’t see it. hmm… I have errands to run too… procrastinate… ok i’ll run them tomorrow. 🙂

Well, there is always more blogging, surfing the web and text messaging with Mike and Sharon. 😀 I can’t complain there seeing as how those are the only two that really text message me, lol. At least I have the ability to flex my hours and still get stuff done as well as make some time to be with my girl, run errands and whatever during the day sometimes. Can’t beat that. 🙂

Maybe I’ll write more later. I need to do some things with my music collection.

Yes, for absolutely no reason what-so-ever I was staring at the floor…  However momentary, it made me think to myself, “What the heck are you doing?” It’s morning procrastination at it’s best! I’ve decided I’m going to redo one of the pages interfaced with the billing system. It just doesn’t set well with me. Nothing major, but none the less it was worth of procrastinating for at least a few minutes… so I stared at the floor, figured that was a complete waste of time and decided to do something slightly more productive… write a blog. 😀

So, the page should occupy at least an hour of my time… then there is lunch, well sort of. Going for a walk and eating lunch afterwards – puts me at … hmm 13:00. Project meeting at 13:00 should last about 30 minutes and that leaves me with … almost 2 hours before I leave work. Whatever shall I do? Perhaps I can find an episode of something interesting to watch on the internet. Either way, I’m out at 15:30…

Ah, yes, leaving work early today to run some errands and hopefully we go see the kitten. Oh yeah, did I mention there is a kitten addition coming to the house? Yeah… So I caved in and decided to get an animal… hehe So when the choice came down to did I want a dog around or a cat, well you know what won. I may get a dog one day, when I don’t have so many things going on and can handle dealing with all that comes with it. So, back to the kitten.

Isn’t she the cutest? I was thinking of getting the one on the left, but since those are so common and the snow leopard looking ones are not, getting the white one was the best choice. However, I do ponder how long it will be before I cave and get another one thats like the one on the left. Anyway… going to see her today and tomorrow she get’s spayed. Then its down to two or three days before she gets picked up and comes home. 🙂 Now the hard part… naming. I’ll post up about that later as that’s an ordeal in and of itself, I really dislike naming things. lol

So yeah, that’s about as far as I’ve made it through planning my day. Tomorrow looks pretty promising though. The mountains are getting a nice dose of snow today so I’m taking off for up there to get some boarding in tomorrow. I’ve really been slacking on going up and I’m running out of season. Hopefully I can get in about 3-5 more trips up before its over with. Realistically it will probably be two. lol Oh well. At least I got up a fair amount this season, mostly in Nov, Dec and January. If I remember I’ll take my camera up and see if I can get some nice spring shots, but I think its going to be snowing tomorrow as well so we’ll have to see.

Anyway, I should get this page done.
