travis' brain dump

so… yesterday was my birthday… 27.

while i thought this one would turn out like the rest i was proven wrong… many thanks to carrie, andy, kris, mike, sammie, chris, mark, jesse and muh lil arwen for making it a great birthday.

thanks to carrie and carrie’s mom for the red velvet cake, wooo! carrie for providing the food, andy for suggesting steaks omg… that was perfect, kris for the beverages, mike and chris for riling up the neighbors with their paintball guns – no seriously that was awesome – we almost got some violence going on however short lived it was. sammie for entertaining and spending time with arwen while her daddy enjoyed a couple hours of his birthday (she was excited to see you again last night, oh and she found the lego house this morning by the way and started to remodel it immediately, she did say ‘ thank you sammie ‘ before pulling the door off however… lol) mark for just keeping things going last night – dude, that random retarded outbreak about killed me tho, you gotta slow down on that stuff, lol. jesse for getting my tire fixed for me, dude that was awesome of ya and last but not least carlos mencia and chris rock for providing material for us to laugh our butts off to all night long.

thanks guys for coming out last night, that was one of the best birthdays i’ve had in a long time. it was good to just get some good eats in, start a little trouble, chill out and stay up all night laughing until it hurts. it really meant a lot to have you guys here.

well, time to get some stuff done — got about 65f my housework done yesterday so its time to finish it up today so I can make it through the week to do it all over again next weekend, lol.

so, i got another speeding ticket today… for guess how much!? 48 in a friggin 35 again… something is up… this time i had a witness in the car too… GRRRR… i’ll post more later, im still pretty ticked off right now…

ok, maybe i shouldn’t have taken the weekend off from boarding…

Friday — kids playing baseball in the cul-de-sac knock a ball onto Mark’s car putting a dent on the *ONE* metal piece of his car, needless to say he’s angry

Saturday — Mark and I help one of our neighbors (Jeff) move out. They were heading back to Texas. Andy finds out his shocks are shot on his Tundra, Mark loses $20 and kids playing baseball knock one into my tail light on my car breaking it. Yeah, awesome huh? $180 to replace em cause I couldn’t bring myself to bust Jeff’s (the kids dad) chops seeing as the situation they were in there was no way they could pay me. (long story, just trust me, besides, Jeff did come over in December and help me put a new water heater in which kept him over there until about 12am so I guess I just got billed, lol)

Sunday – Friggin fire near my house had us all choked up all night. Arwen and I sounded like we were gonna drop dead last night. Mark did however find his $20, but lost $10… poor guy just can’t hold onto money, lol.

I guess a couple decent things happened this weekend. I did get my yard all prepped up for summer… got the sprinkler system tested and back online, aerated the lawn, tilled up the garden, lost a wrestling match with a razor (shaved my head), hung out with my buds. All in all it kinda balanced, but still, i’m a bit upset about my tail lamps still… grr

so here i am monday morning — i feel like my head is going to implode (smoke got my sinuses ragin) and I just don’t feel like doin crap today. Maybe i’ll cut out early or something… got to get a couple things done first off though. Oh well. Maybe this week will be better… *fingers crossed*

so, ya know those days that you just feel like you should have stayed in bed? yep, having one of those… not only is work just kinda dragging along today, but I got a ticket this morning… wtf!?

so, it starts off – i woke up this morning a little late, i truly thought about calling in, yeah right… pulled my butt outta bed and proceeded to take a shower to wake up. i thought to myself, “today is going to suck”. boy i had no clue. so i’m on my way to drop off my daughter and i decide to take a slightly different route this morning (shoulda been my first clue). i’m cruisin down the street in what i thought to be a 40mph (yes, my mind is on other crap, so i wasn’t really paying attention) zone at about 45 and my radar goes off… thinking i was okay, i just kept rollin, until one of broomfield’s finest pulls out behind me with his lights going… so at this point i’m thinking to myself… great… 10 yrs w/o a speeding ticket and i get popped – oh well i’m due… so he comes up and he’s all ‘ i got you doin 48 in a 35 ‘ — realizing it was a 35mph zone not a 40 mph zone i think to myself… “4 pts, thats just great” — so he asks for my license, reg, insurance – the usual stuff… i go rummaging through my visor and get him the docs… unfortunately it seems that my insurance card was out of date… oh yay… so, on top of the 4pts and 13 over, i’ve got no proof of insurance to add to it… at least the latter is easy enough to dismiss… hopefully the d.a. will be in a giving mood give me a plea bargain so i can get it down to 2 pts and under 10 over (or perhaps better). we’ll see… knowing my luck i’ll be the poor bastard they make an example out of — no slack. wouldn’t that be some bull… crackhead 17-18yr olds who blast 35’s @ 90 get plea bargains that let them keep their licenses and pay some slap on the wrist fine and a 27 yr old single father dropping off his kid gets owned for going 13 over… would be my luck ya know? *shrug* oh well… as long as they give me some kinda break i’ll be happy… i mean after all i *WAS* speeding which I am not trying to say i wasn’t and try to get out of everything, just get a nice reduction that is easy to deal with… lol  we’ll see how it goes… i don’t have court until the 25th of may so i’ve got a while – im not too worried about it, just more annoyed at myself than anything…

on other notes, today had some other issues with it not worth mentioning… all just seeming to pile on me… at least im heading out of work here in about an hour… that makes it nicer. got a little job to do on the way home and then its pickup the kiddo and go do some grocery shopping… gotta restock after the cleanout that occured last week around my pad… i love my friends to death… you hear that you ungrateful pains in my ass? i love ya all!(hehe just messin with ya, you’re not ungrateful pains – you guys are some of the best friends anyone could ask for)

only one more day till the weekend… just gotta make it through today and tomorrow and i’m set. i think i’ll work on destroying (so that i can remodel) the guestroom… should be fun. as soon as i’m done it means people don’t have to sleep on the floor when they crash at my house… i should have crash capacity for up to 6 which will be great for those weekends everyone wants to hang out all night before going snowboarding… *cough* last weekend *cough*

anyway, enough… gotta get a couple things wrapped up here and get outta here.
