This rant is based on yet another “offensive license plate” story found out on CNN.

Apparently this particular video was about a lady in Arkansas who declined to take delivery of a license plate, 018 NGR, because of the letters NGR at the end of it. Keep in mind this was a white woman too who didn’t want to ride around with a tag on her car that others might find ‘ offensive ‘…  Keep in mind, most responses by other interviewees was ‘ it’s just a license plate ‘ and found no offense by it. This reinforces the whole ‘ if you’re looking for trouble, you’ll find it ‘ theory. STOP LOOKING FOR IT!

What is wrong with this country? Has society really come to this point where they have to find something to complain about all the time? Where every little thing is found offensive or not politically correct or otherwise oppressing and everyone has to stand in line to whine or protest about it? WAAAAA you big babies. GROW UP AND STOP COMPLAINING FOR TWO SECONDS, TAKE A LOOK AROUND AND REALIZE YOU MIGHT BE PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD TODAY AND NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION!

Instead of marching in your protests or sitting around finding something to cry about like why you’re one of the 60% of Americans who are overweight and you’re a victim of your own children who dislike you or don’t respect you and you’re broke, why don’t you do something constructive? Spend time with your families, stop eating fast food, exercise, discipline your kids when they are getting out of control, work thankfully and well at your job, pay your mortgage instead of buying that big screen tv, stop cruising in your gas guzzling SUVs just to show off your status symbol and for the love, stop butting into the business of others because you just need to hear yourself talk! 

Seriously people. Start realizing that most of the problems start and stop with the individual and we’re going to continue this downward spiral until we hit the bottom if we don’t change. Of course, what will people do when they hit the bottom? Complain some more, naturally. *rolls eyes*

For the love of all that is holy why would you name your child something completely STUPID AND EMBARASSING!?

This reaches back to an article by my left brain, Myke Reinhold, who talks about the fellow listed in the tail end of this particular article from CNN. (Hello My Name is In God We Trust)

I don’t understand parents today, maybe it’s the drugs or something. That line of coke just isn’t as pure as it could be and was cut with baby powder or tide or perhaps that joint had a little extra something in it. I don’t know but this is ridiculous. WHO names their child ‘ Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii ‘ or ‘ Sex Fruit ‘ !?!?!?!?!?!?  YOU IDIOTS!!

I mean if all else fails and you can’t come up with a name… write a few down that are normal common names and pull one out of a hat or something. Why completely screw up your child with something off the wall because you feel like it’s cute and funny at the time. Think of your child before you name them and put yourself in their shoes… if you really think you’d like your name to be something that stupid, seek therapy quickly.

(CNN) — A New Zealand judge has made a 9-year-old girl a ward of the court so that her name can be changed from Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii, the country’s national news agency reported Thursday.

Family Court Judge Rob Murfitt listed a series of unusual names that New Zealand parents had given their children, and said he was concerned that such strange monikers would create hurdles for them as they grew up.

“It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap,” the New Zealand Press Association quoted the judge as saying.

Among the names Murfitt cited: twins named Benson and Hedges — after a brand of cigarettes; Violence; and Number 16 Bus Shelter.

Some parents had named children after six-cylinder Ford cars, the news agency reported.

The Registrar General of Births, Deaths and Marriages said in a statement that it had rejected names including Fish and Chips, Yeah Detroit, Stallion, Twisty Poi — a staple food in Polynesian cuisine — and Sex Fruit.

A lawyer for Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii said the girl is so embarrassed by her name that friends know her as “K.”

Last month, an judge in the U.S. state of Illinois allowed a school bus driver to legally change his first name to “In God” and his last name to “We Trust.”

But an appeals court in the state of New Mexico ruled against a man — named Variable — who wanted to change his name to a two-word phrase that contains a four-letter expletive and expresses opposition to censorship.

Right now I’ve got a screaming headache and I’m still boiling… How hard should it be for someone to ship a package? Easy when you have someone who has to do it on a daily basis right? WRONG! I’m doing my best not to say what I’m feeling right now because honestly I could go off for at least a full page. I’m just irritated because I’ve had to ship out a ton of stuff the last month or so and I’m getting really tired of having to repeat what is already on the shipping request form three or four times plus go down a couple floors to personally ensure that my stuff is going to the right place. It’s bad when one shipment takes anywhere from 1-2 hours of my day to just ensure it goes out properly because someone’s pea rattling in their head has a flat spot and can’t rattle properly. ($*#@$*(#(%(#*#!%

For the record, I catch one of my kids using any of these P Acronyms or other devious ones like the ones listed above, I’ll disable their internet privleges permanently. There is NO REASON they should be having conversations which require the use of one of those.
