travis' brain dump

well this has been a busy one… both at work and at home… honestly, thats been a good thing. it’s helped it fly by, but hasn’t allowed me much time to post up. since wednesday, i’ve had no access to my normal computer since its blocked off by slabs of sheetrock… i could use my laptop, but its been dead and the docking station to charge it in as been blocked off as well. lol hopefully that will change tonight, i need to get that stuff moved into the room i’m redoing. it got held off due to the heating system this week… it took longer than i expected to revamp, but still overall was easier than i had thought it was going to be… now the advantages to this weeks work are already being seen… better heating, cleaner air, easier changing of my filter and the mess of an old distribution duct that held off putting a ceiling in the guest room has been cleared! andy and i did the dirty work, we got the intake from the living room sealed off and the main intake into the furnace all cleared and setup properly. mike put in the return vent with the filter upstairs for me… that thing rocks mike, thanks. and andy… props to andy for fighting with that evil output duct and getting most of it out of the way for me… allowed me to finish up last night in record time. 😀 (yes folks, andy is badass) YAY FOR PROGRESS! i’ve got a couple of small projects (30 minute deals) to clear off before putting in the ceiling of the guest room… patch the floor in my room where the old vent was, insulate the ductwork, run electrical wire from the switch to where i’m installing the ceiling fan, etc… etc… nothing major though… tonight i’m going to try to clean up the room and maybe pull down the remaining boards from the last wall to pave the way to completion. anyway, need to get back to work.. err wait, i need food first… still got 30 minutes left for lunch so i need to take advantage. lol

i’ve been busy okay?

not that too much exciting has been going on… last weekend was nuts… we had a little going away party for Seah since he decided to go and move to DC. You’re a punk Seah! 🙂 Also combined it with his girlfriend’s birthday. I’m pretty sure everyone had fun, although, the party ended up moving across the street to Les’ house and well… you know what happens over there… people turn into drunks there. Amusing to say the least. I can’t believe another weekend is upon me… i’ve been fighting off a sinus plague this week (thanks a bunch Jesse, when i feel better, I’m going to beat you down) so I’ve been pretty much out of it. Most of my spare energy is spent trying to get stuff done at work and keeping up with the munchkin with unlimited energy. i was going to hit up Skylab this weekend, but I think i’ll be too busy sleeping trying to get rid of this sinus thing. (again, Jesse, I’m gonna pwn you)

Got my rear lip installed on the Rolla this week, looks much better, now to get the front and the hood scoop on… i need to get that hoodscoop in place, i fried a power steering pressure hose last week so i need to get that thing installed so i can cool the back of the engine bay better. $100 for that hose… yikes! Thanks to Andy for helping me put that thing in… at least it wasn’t a hard fix, just anoying. Also got my snowboard rack in this week… (again with the props to Andy for helping me install that thing) no more boards in the back seats baby! 🙂

my head feels like its gonna explode… woot! oddly, i’m excited since this day is almost friggin over… i’ve gotta go hit up a client’s place today to configure a laptop and I may take off an hour early because I feel like I’m going to die… speakin of kiddo, i need to upload the new pics i have of her, i’ll do that tonight.

this weekend was probably one of the better ones i’ve had… i’ve gotten stuff done, chilled out with friends, gone cruisin, cooked out, listened to music…. it’s just been pretty good… i figured i’d post up another blog while i was still in a great mood. props off to all my friends this weekend who i hung out with.

friday was great… wound down the day, then hit up old chicago with arwen, damir and andy. we played the trivia game there, stuffed ourselves and all around had a great time. we then came back to the house, chilled out and enjoyed the rest of the evening playing video games (SSX 3 to be exact)… what a great start.

saturday was awesome, i did nothing all day pretty much… it was rather enjoyable… kris, andy and jesse were over for a while sat night… i got kris’ phone hacked so he could use it on his carrier, most awesome… however, it sucked that it took us a couple hours to do… we ordered pizza, watched a movie and overall had a pretty chill evening…

sunday was pretty much the same… arwen wasnt feeling well but that’s okay, she pretty much chilled out and was feeling pretty decent by the evening… andy and i got bored around 8pm and decided for fun we’d tear apart the spare bedroom (that i’m converting to a guest room) and made our way 3/4 through it… my backyard and deck now have a pile of wood on them. lol also got to meet Andy’s friend Amy (hope i spelled her name right) and her friend Travis… haha good times… we cooked burgers and hung out, very enjoyable… oh yeah, funny part of the evening was watching jesse and chris carver show up at 11:30 *WASTED* — i couldn’t help but laugh at them… dorks. (no they weren’t driving, sammie was at the wheel for em) just a funny end to the night… it pays to be the sober one when others decied to get trashed… you can’t buy that kind of entertainment..

monday was awesome… got up at 11:30am! lazed around the house for a couple hours, talked to my mom and chilled. Jesse came over about 2pm or so and we decided to do a little cruise… mike sooz came over with his girl and we headed out… fueled up, washed the car and headed for fort collins. we met up with this girl Jessica that Jesse’s likin (and obviously its reciprocated, lol) and Ashton… we then headed back down to my place to grill out and hang… man, so good to hang out with everyone again… haha funny stuff… didn’t realize this when we first met up with Jessica, but I already met her about a year ago. when her and Jesse pulled up to my house she was all ‘ i’ve so been here before ‘ and we reconnected… amazing how small this world really is. everyone just left about 25 minutes ago, such good times.

it’s a shame i’ve got to get up in 7 hours for work, but oh well, this weekend was a good one, one of the better ones that i’ve had in a long time… thanks to all my friends. love you guys. i just hope i can get a chance to do it again sometime… skylab is in two weeks and if i can work out a babysitter for the kiddo, i’m so going to do it.

anyway time for bed… lol

i can’t believe i’ve been this busy… i thought to myself this morning ‘ i need to go out and put something up on my blog site ‘ then pondered how long it had been since i last posted… i figured at most a week, not almost 10 days. lol oh well …

so as i’ve said, ive been pretty busy… getting everything setup for arwen’s daycare and finishing up stuff on this refinance was a pain in the rear end for sure but, finally everything is falling into place and it appears as though the stress is letting up. we’ve had a couple good humpdays and good weekend since my last post, however there is nothing funny to comment on as i was in a daze most of those occasions… got a three-day coming up however, so there should be something fun for sure after this one… lol (i can hear andy plotting now)

today is a pretty slow day… my brain is only semi-functional so i’m getting some things cleared off but not as much as i had hoped… maybe tuesday after having a three day weekend i’ll be ready to rip through this stuff and get it all done. lol
