travis' brain dump

well i hope everyone had a great halloween last night…

i went out with the kiddo and aided in my support of the dental industry last night. it went pretty well, however i was pretty wiped out by the time i got back. geez, i’d kill for some of Arwen’s energy. just take a look, i’m wiped, shes ready to rock. lol

go figure. lol

arwen scored a pretty good amount of candy last night, enough to keep her high on sugar for at least the next couple of weeks. 😀

it’s almost midnight and someone might wonder what happend to him….
…so in case you’re looking for him… he’s still breathing last i checked…
but if you wanna see if he’s alive and happy… just take a look for yourselves… just look at that million dollar smile…

wonder if he’ll still be there in the morning…. *lol*

so, i’ve embraced this thing…

i figured, why not? I can customize the crap out of it and I have full control over my data so why not?

got a couple new little features i’ve setup:

1. homepage auto-sends you here after 5 seconds if you don’t pick something else
2. added weather for my home city and breckenridge (where me and my buds snowboard)
3. added link into my google calendar. this allows for the snowboarding schedule to be posted and shared
4. cleaned up links and such, updated the about me page and put a link to the pictures from the blog site

aside from that, nothing really new to report. it’s been a pretty busy day at work… also i’ve had Arwen with me today, so that’s been interesting. nothing like listening to spongebob and dora cartoons all morning while you’re trying to get stuff done. lol she’s napping now, got her all stuff at silvermine today, hehe. now i just have to deal with low tones of country music playing…. Arwen insists on using country as a sedative. go figure.

ive got some interesting projects this week, i’m pretty stoked. i’m working on specifications for the offerings of our existing and new products. should keep me pretty busy. i still need to finish this documentation project, but at least that is about 80% done. new server up and running great for engineering and operations, so i can’t complain. it’s progress none the less. anyway, need to wrap up a few things here before i head out. just figured i’d post a blog. *shrug*

 

ok, this was officially the first big blast we’ve gotten this season… wow… i got up at 7 this morning to find my bushes flat and every tree in the yard looked like it wanted to fall over… gotta love it when the snow hits well before the leaves drop…. yikes! spent most of the morning cleaning snow off the plants & trees and even repairing a couple – hopefully i won’t lose some of those big branches. we got a total of about 8″ at the house and arwen was stoked… she loves the snow. all this snow action however, its got me raging to go up and hit some hills. i wanna go do at least two runs so bad its killin me. lol it’s just a shame there isn’t more of a base up in the mountains… 24-30″ so far.. dang good for october. i don’t think i’ve seen a base that good this early since i moved here back in 01. i’ll see if i can get some pics before it gets dark tonight and post em up. hopefully we don’t have a huge melt off down here today, its not supposed to stay cold.
