Just finished upgrading my wordpress installation… as always if anyone spots something screwed up, let me know so I can fix it. Everything seems fine, however as with any upgrade, I’m sure there is some little quirk somewhere. 🙂
back in colorado …

Well technically we’ve been back for a couple days. We got in Saturday evening. Want to talk about being beat up? 17 hours of driving. At least we were graced with a brand new Penske truck. Only had 10000 miles on it. 🙂 We headed out Friday night around 11pm PT (12am MT) and hit the road hopeful. Arwen and Amanda were out well before we even hit I-17 off the 101 which was kinda funny. Not sure if it was the vibration of the truck or the rain, but they were sound asleep. I don’t think Amanda even moved until we were just about into Flagstaff. LOL The rest of the trip went pretty well… just tiring so we swapped off a couple times so that I could get an hour here and there of sleep to knock the edge off. Overall I’d have to say I did pretty good. I didn’t feel like I was to the point of nodding off once. Close, but not quite there. Thankfully Amanda got enough sleep in between to cover for me while I took some power naps a couple times. I’d have to say the highlight of the experience was getting to see my friend Brian again. I haven’t seen him in about 3 years and it was good to catch up and have some breakfast with him when we got to Albuquerque. Hopefully we’ll get a chance to see him again before he comes up in December, but it was really good to see him again. After finishing up breakfast we hit the road again and finished the home stretch to Denver. We got in somewhere around 6pm MT. It’s kind of a haze. We unloaded the truck, got some dinner, showered and DIED. I’m so glad Amanda had some soma’s because I definitely needed one. I think we both came to life somewhere around 10 the next morning. We slept in pretty good but what can ya do when you’re depleted and drugged? lol
All has been well… just getting settled and figuring things out. I started a temp job on Monday, so it’s good to see some positive cash flow coming back in instead of watching it bleed out over the coarse of a few months. Hopefully something permanent is around the corner.Â
Anyway…. just an update. 🙂

I think honestly if I did that right now. I’d sleep. hehe
I don’t even know why I’m blogging right now. I think it has everything to do with the fact I don’t want to go outside into the heat and load the rest of Amanda’s stuff into the truck. For the record. People who live in Arizona by choice… why?! It’s brain cooking hot down here.
So far it’s been a good trip. Especially good to see Amanda again. I missed her incredibly. So we got in yesterday around noon-thirty and got most of everything ready for us to head out today. It was just incredibly busy and we didn’t end up getting to sleep until around 3am this morning. That 7:30am wakeup came really harsh. That alarm on the phone I gave Amanda had to be the most annoying alarm I’ve *EVER* heard, but it did the trick, even from the other room, lol. So needless to say, I’m a zombie right now. Not the best thing to be before one has to leave on a long long drive, right? I’ll live though. When has it ever been any different when moving? I’m just glad it’s only like 900 miles. I’d cry otherwise.
Hopefully I’ll be able to snag a nap or something here in the next little while. I’ve got to get about 15 more boxes loaded into the truck and round up a few loose items around here then crash until Amanda calls me to wake me up and go pick up her sister. It’ll be good to see my partner in crime again, I’ve missed her. LOL Once that’s done it’s off to lunch for an hour or two and back here to crash for a few more hours before we leave.
So all in all we’re doin pretty good though. Once I get this stuff all loaded up we’re almost ready to go. It will just be the duration of the drive left to go. Hopefully we’ll get some good trade off going while driving so we don’t have to stop. I’m so ready to be back in Colorado. Speaking of… I had better get on it. *drags self off the couch*
wish us luck.
