Facebook and Breastfeeding photos…

by on Jan.25, 2009, under Rants

You know, if I have to hear one more thing about people whining about Facebook’s policy on removing photo’s I’m going to feel like finding IP addresses and sending some love in the form of DDOS attacks… *rolls eyes* GROW UP PEOPLE!

Seriously, what is the point!? Why is it so dang important that your breasts be allowed on Facebook? Do you seriously want to go out of your way to show them off or something? I mean, if that’s the case, there are plenty of porn sites out there who would love to post you up for profit or plain humor.

Seriously though… here’s the facts you whiny asses.

Facebook is an Internet entity which has a membership made up of people who have volunteered to offer their information in the hopes of “connecting” with other people. It is in no way, shape or form your personal property. The servers that host the site are not owned by ANY of you. The fees associated with the domain facebook.com is not owned by ANY of you. The monthly bandwidth charges are not paid by ANY of you. The salaries of individuals who work for the company are not paid by ANY of you.

It would be like you sending me a naked picture of yourself and demanding I post it on my website. If I don’t want to, I don’t have to because it’s MINE… NOT YOURS…

To quote from the publicly available Wiki for Facebook:

Facebook, formerly The Facebook, is a popular, free-access social networking website that is operated and privately ownedby Facebook, Inc.

Two things to be noticed there… “free-access” and “privately owned”. Those two items alone should tell you to sit back, shut up and be thankful you have a social network to connect with your friends on that you don’t have to pay for. Instead of finding some “cause” to make a big deal about so you can be noticed outside of your small insignificant pathetic lives, go do something more creative like pay attention to those kids you feel that you need to show publicly to the whole world connected up to your breast. I’m sure that would be time better spent.

If you’re so dead pressed to have your boobs flopped out on some social network site go check out something like adult friend finder, friend wise, x adult space or some other “adult” social network that is accepting of such things but stop your whining about Facebook and THEIR decisions.

Now, for the record, this is not a rant against public breast feeding as I have nothing against it. If you feel comfortable doing it, then go for it. At least cover up a little though when you do. Have some decency and respect for yourselves but by all means, hook those babies up if they’re hungry just don’t whine when a privately owned company takes your picture off because they don’t want it on their servers.

    Dear Travis:
I am concerned with your extensive knowledge of adult social networking sites. Is there something you need to speak to a professional about?

    Got links?

  • Travis

    ROFL.

    Too funny.

You of all people can appreciate the power of google. Simply go out there and type in ‘adult social networks’ and you’re set.

Then again, that is too much to ask of some people on the internet. *sigh* Don’t you just yearn for the days of when you actually had to be somewhat intelligent to even log on? At least it kept the idiots at bay for the most part.

You had me at breast…okay people, if you do not own it, you cannot control it. Let me guess, if they do not allow you to post breastfeeding photos you will leave Facebook. OOOOOO no, what will they do with 10 members leaving out of the millions they have.

I’m thinking some enterprising person out there should start a Facebook for Breast Feeders.

The site could instantly cross-post the pictures to a fetish site where they charge people $30 a month for access as allowed by their ToS which no one reads.

Hey, anyone know PHP? I’ve got a business idea.

I saw some of the pictures they took off. I am in total agreeance with Facebook about that. They were DISGUSTING! women large and small sprawled out half naked on their couch, some with kids that looke to be almost 3 years old hooked on. Why would ANYONE want to publish that? Granted only your friends would be able to see it but for crying out loud, too much is too much. And some of those women were “too much”. There were some that were not horrible, they were decent and some were cute, but like Travis says, it’s the idots that take things over that line that ruin it for everyone else. So here’s to those idiots who can’t seem to help but cross the line due to some misfiring synapses in their brain.
