travis' brain dump

Just an FYI for anyone who's got a kiddo who uses XBOX Live.

If when logging into their account on the console they get prompted to enter username/password and you get a kickback message (upon inputting the correct info) of:

"Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Code: 8015D021"

It's a age verification kick-back that's asking for parental permission for the kiddo to use XBL services. You need to login on your PC with their info, upon which you'll be prompted to login with your credentials to verify they can use the XBL services. Ridiculously enough you have to verify with a CC payment of $0.50 charged to the account on file but whatever… instantly resolves the issue and the kiddo can resume using the console online.

Personally, I think it's kinda stupid considering the fact that your CC# is stored in your account and if the kiddo had access to your account they could just click through and issue the payment themselves, but on the flip side it drops the charge on your CC so you know something is up. Regardless, the kids can get back to playing minecraft and driving each other insane so whatever. ?

I personally feel they are really looking for the $0.50 charge. 50 cents doesn't appear to be enough to break the bank, but a large number of 50 cent donations can easily add up to a million bucks.
